Why the Brooklyn Flea Rocks...

After 48 hours of go go go, I'm wiped. Note to self, DO NOT throw a raucous bachelorette party the night before working all day at a market. But I digress. Here are a few pics and some links to the goings on yesterday.

Jerseygirl -- I got you some fabu fakes at The Flea. Will send them as soon as I've recovered....

First, a BIG shoutout to my girl Melo of Melody's Addiction:

She provided the opportunity to be at The Flea and is a great "booth companion" to boot -- it can be a challenge to sit 8 hours with one person, but Melody makes it easy. And her jewelry features a wonderful sense of geometry, color and drama. Check our her site and, if you're in the hood, stop by her booth every other Sunday at The Brooklyn Flea.

Speaking of...I heart The Brooklyn Flea.

The largest outdoor market in New York City, it's full of fantastic interesting vendors covering everything from furniture to bikes to crafts to clothing. And don't even get me started on the food...

So here I am, mostly awake and having a great day. It was the kind of day that I think epitomizes the best of the BK, when friends and strangers alike stop by and stay to chat. Chea!

The bachelorette party was ree-donc-u-lous. I'm posting the pics on flickr now...

in a nutshell, an 80s themed prom night at a roller disco in an abandonded bathhouse in coney island, followed by sake-fueled karaoke in little koreatown.

awesome.
